Standard Intro: This is a series where I go through my Myspace blogs from 15 years ago and examine what I was thinking at that point in my life and see if I've had any personal growth.  Lets pull back the lever on the internet time machine and hop back to the wonderful year of 2005. (Disclaimer: I do go through and correct typos from the original postings. Other than that, all posts included all original text. No censoring or editing.)

Body Once again, I started to type and realized I had nothing to talk about today. Why this happens so frequently I have no idea, but I will not allow a little hurrdle like writer's block stop me from delivering verbal vomit to the loyal readers who's day is brighten just a little from reading my thoughts. Luckily, while perusing around the global village I like to call the world wide web, or the WWW for you hipsters out there, one of my favorite sights, "The Best Page in the Universe" had been updated with a nice little read. Check it out then come back and finish evesdropping on my thoughts.
It's like he can read my thoughts. Every time I start to think I'm a genius, along comes someone to knock me down a few pegs. Which is a good thing because otherwise I'd start to ramble on about my plans for world domination, or just talking about how cool I am. Which would be a big lie...well, the part about being cool that is, the world domination stuff is all true. So thank you mister pirate man for keeping me in check. Although, isn't there something ironic about a guy who has a webpage devoted to his opinions criticizing other people for posting their opinions online? Dontcha think? But like I care. I find most of his stuff amusing, and the postings on kids artwork and the Lord of the Rings movies are side splitting wonderific.
(silly rabbit, segues are for kids)
I've noticed from the viewed stats that it seems more people than I thought have been checking out my senseless postings. But no one is leaving any comments, so I have no idea who is actually reading. So here's my plea, if you read this and I don't speak to you on a daily, or hourly basis, please drop me a note to let me know who you are. It'll help me sleep a little bit better at night. Plus it help inflate my ego. Until, I get a cool catchphrase.....

It's been a few weeks since the last Myspace Memory.  I wish there was a good excuse but in reality it's just because I've been unmotivated and dealing with the side effects of the my depression. You can read about that in other blogs here on Positive Cynicism. Lets get to unpacking this trip down memory lane.

I discovered the Best Page in the Universe back in 2002 and thought it was the greatest thing since the dancing hamster page.  Looking at the site today, it appears Maddox doesn't update as regularly as he used to 13 years ago. He has published a couple of books since his site became popular. I have not read them so I can't tell you if they are as good as the short essays on the website.

Going back an re-reading some of the posts is like taking a nice trip back to a simpler time. Or it's just putting on the nostalgia glasses and remembering where I was when I first read them. While some people may read the blogs and be put off by the obnoxious attitude of Maddox, I guess that's the point.  In the post linked in the original Myspace blog, I point out that the guy basically condemns the very thing he himself does. Which now is essentially what 99% of social media users are guilty of themselves.

I don't have any clever way to wrap up this posting.
